The challenge:
Our client, an IT distributor, had been using an Excel spreadsheet template to create quotes for their customers. This became problematic as supplier prices changed and certain items were no longer in stock, meaning their quotes would quickly become out of date and inaccurate.
Our solution:
In the fast moving and competitive sector of IT distribution, it was vital that new web application included accurate pricing and stock information from suppliers. The application includes a range of live feeds from suppliers, allowing for accurate pricing for quotes and certainty of the product being in stock.
Quotes can be emailed directly to the customer, with an ability for the quote to either be accepted or rejected. If the quote is rejected the customer can give feedback, providing an opportunity for the quote to be adjusted.
To reduce time spent on admin, the approval of a quote automatically creates a sale order in their accounting system, Sage. This removes the need for a staff member to manually retype all the information.
